The Downtown Las Vegas Innovation District is dedicated technology and startup hub that was established by the City of Las Vegas. It spans an area that includes the Fremont East Entertainment District and the Cashman Center. The Downtown Las Vegas Innovation District is being transformed into a tech incubator that focuses on safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility such as autonomous and connected vehicles. 

The International Innovation Center, located in Downtown Las Vegas, is a 11,000 foot coworking and networking hub. Managed by StartUpNv, the center offers flexible workspace, mentorship, and business services that are tailored to Nevada based start up companies. The flexible workspace solutions include hot desks with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse that can be reserved on a daily or monthly basis. Business owners are also able to rent dedicated desks with a locking file box as well as private offices. 

The International Innovation Center incentivizes non-profit companies by offering 50% off rental fees for meeting spaces. The location also serves as an official office address and provides mail forwarding/scanning. The center fuels networking through acting as an epicenter for founder meetings, pitch sessions, and statewide accelerator programs.

The UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park is an envisioned 122 acre, fully master planned business, research, and technology hub. The park will be a place where business and technology unite, supporting innovators and entrepreneurs. It will foster research and technology development and create a business community that advances the skilled and educated workforce development that diversifies and strengthens the Southern Nevada economy.

Advanced Technologies Academy located in Las Vegas, NV, is a public magnet high school that focuses on integrating technology with academics. Through the strategic use of technology in both the core and program area classes, A-Tech empowers students by teaching the academic concepts and technological skills necessary for students to succeed in a competitive, technologically changing world. The school is high-achieving, being a Nevada Five-Star, and a three-time National Blue Ribbon school that offers academic distinction and technological excellence. 

The Advanced Technologies Academy also offers smaller classes, senior internship programs, over 50 clubs and activities, and specialized business and industry instructors. Operating under the Clark County School District, the school consistently ranks as a top school in Nevada. Entrance to the school is typically determined through a blind lottery magnet school application process.

The CSN Computing and Information Technology Department prepares students for careers in the fields of computer science, software development, cybersecurity, networking, and information management. The department offers 2-year AAS degrees which provide education and technical training to prepare students for a variety of high-demand IT fields. The department also offers 2 year AA degrees which are a lower cost option for completing the first 2 years of an undergraduate degree, which can be transferred to a 4 year degree program.

The CSN Computing and Information Technology Department contains classrooms and lab facilities that offer hands-on experience with software and equipment commonly found in the industry. Several degrees and certificates of achievement are found in the Computing and Information technology program. CSN also offers Skills Certificates that acknowledge completion of course work in specific IT areas. 

The UNLV Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering drives the technology industry through producing workforce ready graduates and driving innovation in high-growth sectors. The school offers degrees in computer science, cybersecurity, and engineering technology. Their robust curriculum prepares students to tackle the biggest challenges in areas of national need, such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, big data, and more. 

Tech Impact ITWorks offers free training to motivated young adults who are high school graduates, ages 18-26, and have not earned a bachelors degree. Over 1,000 people have earned the skills to start their IT career through the free ITWorks program. Their corporate partners hire program graduates and assist in securing employment for seventy percent of the programs graduates. The employer partners  mentor students in class, host interns, and serve as valuable references for future employment opportunities. The program provides technical training, soft skills development, and a five week internship in order to provide real life experience. 

Two certifications are sought after for entry level IT professionals, and over the sixteen weeks in ITWorks, students earn at least one of these certifications. ITWorks establishes connections for students with leading companies in the IT industry. Such companies provide funding for training and hire graduates in Philadelphia, Delaware, Las Vegas, and remote. 

Nevada State University offers a fully online IT Bootcamp, lasting 10-18 weeks, in order to launch or advance careers. The programs feature live instructor led sessions, hands-on lab experience, and industry certification preparation. The bootcamp programs are designed for both beginners and experienced IT professionals, with learning tracks being tailored to students experience level. Industry experts and hiring managers work with Nevada State University in order to develop leading-edge courses with a focus on learner success. 

When learning online with Nevada State University, students gain access to a robust network of support services. The dedicated career services team at the school provides the resources that students need to start their new career path and the right IT role. Throughout the bootcamp experience, the team is there to ensure student success that supports the transition into a new role.

TensorWave is a fast growing, Las Vegas based, cloud computing startup that provides enterprise-scale AI infrastructure. Founded in 2023, the company uses exclusively advanced AMD Instinct GPU's to power its clusters. They operate out of a 35,000 square foot office in Town Square. The company has quickly became a major contributor to Nevada's diversifying tech economy. It was founded by UNLV alumnus, and they plan to expand their workforce aggressively with hundreds of engineers and infrastructure specialists. 

TensorWave raised a record breaking $350 million Series B in June 2026, bringing the companies valuation to $1.55 billion. The company is highly involved in the tech ecosystem, regularly hosting community events, pitch competitions, and networking meetups. When working with TensorWave, they offer hands-on expert support that allows you to work side-by-side with dedicated engineers. 

Zoox is a subsidiary of Amazon, which focuses on developing and operating all-electric robotaxis. Unlike traditional modified vehicles, Zoox's cars are symmetrical and bidirectional featuring seating for up to 4 passengers with no pedals or steering wheel. The company has a fleet of over 100 robotaxis, offering autonomous, no fee rides in locations such as the Las Vegas Strip or San Francisco. The company has a partnership with Uber in Las Vegas for integration.

Zoox combines advanced AI with precise engineering in order to deliver a safe and comfortable ride. It operates as an on-demand mobility-as-a-service network, accessible via an app. Zoox accelerates the commercialization of driverless technology and positions Las Vegas as a testing center for advanced mobility. The robotaxis operating location in Las Vegas integrates autonomous tech directly into the tourism experience.                                                      

Rimini Street is a global provider of third-party enterprise software, support, managed services, and AI-Driven solutions. The company is headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, and focuses on enabling organizations to maintain their existing Oracle, SAP, and VMware applications without costly mandated upgrades, freeing up capital. The company operates globally, providing 24/7 support from a team of expert engineers who handle various requests. Skillz relocated its global U.S. headquarters from San Francisco to a 36,000 square foot facility in Las Vegas, NV. The company actively diversifies Nevada's economy and drives the tech sector, creating new jobs and fostering innovation. 

Switch, headquarter in Las Vegas, NV, is a global technology infrastructure company that designs, builds, and operates some of the world's most advanced data centers. The company is a massive driver of southern Nevada's tech sector and digital economy. Switch operates under a Tier 5 Platinum Rating that sets industry-leading benchmarks for power density, cooling, and security. All of Switch's northern America data centers run on 100% renewable energy, with the Las Vegas campus being powered by its own solar operation. 

Switch has been constructing high-density data centers in the Las Vegas campus designed specifically to power artificial intelligence workloads.
