Twelve City parks provide ample access to picnic shelters, barbeques, volleyball, tennis, basketball, and horseshoe courts, softball fields, swimming pools, playgrounds, and walking trails.

Skytower Park

A lighthouse-style, recently renovated activity building is a focal point at this serene park. Carpeted flooring and an indoor restroom complete the functional space. You’ll find lots to do outdoors with a children’s playground, picnic tables, barbecue facilities, outdoor restrooms, walking trails, lighted softball fields, basketball courts, and much more.

American Heroes Park

Named in honor of those who have given their lives to protect America’s freedoms and liberties, American Heroes Park features numerous amenities for community enjoyment. The site includes playgrounds, baseball and soccer fields, basketball and handball courts, two gazebos, nine trellis structures, a restroom building, and three parking lots.

Deputy Pierre W. Bain Park

This 13-acre park boasts barbecue facilities, picnic tables, playground, walking trails, basketball, and volleyball courts plus convenient parking. It's neighbored by the Eastside Pool, a 10-lane heated indoor pool that is a fantastic recreational site all year long. Visit the Lancaster Aquatics webpage to learn more about the Eastside Pool.

Forrest E. Hull Park

This neighborhood park features expansive grassy fields, a fenced section for dogs, and a paved, lighted walking trail for relaxing strolls or jogging. Small trees line the pathways and visitors will often see residents having blanket picnics, or neighborhood children playing in the wide-open space.

Jane Reynolds Park & Webber Pool

The spacious open play area, large mirrored activity building, and outdoor pool make this ideal for a variety of family-centered activities. Residents will also find that the park offers small picnic tables, fields for sports practice, a basketball court, and a playground.

Jane Reynolds Skate Park

RHA teamed with Spohn Ranch Skateparks to create Lancaster's first skatepark. Skateboard legend Lance Mountain designed the 10 1/2' Ghost Bowl, which many pro skaters say is one of the best bowls in California!

Lancaster National Soccer Center

The Lancaster National Soccer Center is served by a professional maintenance and event staff committed to making your event a success.

We have 35 fields designed for soccer, but adaptable for various sports and activities such as lacrosse, cross country, and other sports where a large open area is required.

The Lancaster National Soccer Center is the largest soccer complex in the West. The facility includes 35 premium fields, with 11 fields fully lighted. With an ongoing relationship with Cal South Youth Soccer Organization, the Lancaster National Soccer Center has been designated as an Official Cal South Venue.

The City of Lancaster and the surrounding Antelope Valley have several quality hotels and restaurants to meet your needs, whether it's one team or a regional event.

Mariposa Park 

This quaint park located in a small neighborhood off of Fig Avenue is adjacent to Mariposa Elementary School. It features a small children’s play area, eight barbecue grills, and numerous picnic tables.

Prime Desert Woodland Preserve

First proposed in 1985, the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve is the result of the efforts of many local residents and the Lancaster City Council. This scenic location nestled within an urban area has been established to provide visitors an opportunity to learn about the animals, plants, and the region in which we live, as well as a place to simply relax and enjoy nature. 

The new exhibition designed by the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH), explores each of the major areas the center has traditionally included such as fauna, flora, geology, native peoples, and historical figures, while increasing audience engagement through a more interactive experience.

Rawley Duntley Park 

West-side residents have enjoyed this neighborhood park with ample group picnic shelters since the mid-1980s. The 20-acre park features a playground, two lighted baseball fields, two basketball courts, and nine barbecues.

Many local adult and youth sports teams use the well-maintained fields for practice throughout the year.

Samaritan's Purse Park

Formerly known as El Dorado Park, Samaritan’s Purse Park honors the impactful work of the Samaritan’s Purse organization in Lancaster. Community outreach was conducted to enable residents to contribute their input regarding the new park name and to prioritize improvements based on feedback. 

This spirited park is adjacent to El Dorado Elementary School and features a number of amenities including a preschool room, tennis court, softball field, playground, picnic tables and restrooms. El Dorado was one of three county parks that were provided to the City when it incorporated in 1977.

Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park

Centrally located adjacent to Highway 14 between Avenues K and L, Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park is a hub of community activity. From national softball tournaments and city events to company picnics to family reunions and children’s birthday parties, you’ll always find something happening at this tree-lined park that encompasses more than 63 acres. Formerly named Lancaster City Park, the Lancaster City Council approved the renaming of the park on October 25, 2016, to honor the memory and legacy of Sgt. Steve Owen, died in the line of duty on October 5, 2016, when responding to a burglary call.  Sgt. Owen is known for his many contributions to our community and the larger Antelope Valley.  He gave his time unconditionally to local sports programs, his church, colleagues, special events, and family.  His love for his family and community was paramount in his life. 

In addition to an impressive activity center with a full kitchen, game room, and auditorium, Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park is also home to eight lighted tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, and our Big 8 Softball Complex. The Stanley Kleiner activity center was built in the mid-1980s and named after Lancaster’s first Mayor.

A large, covered group picnic shelter is an excellent location for barbecues, and there are more than a dozen individual picnic tables conveniently located throughout the park. A favorite location for children, the tot lot features colorful playground equipment and oversized boulders where kids can test their rock-climbing skills.

Tierra Bonita

Its name, translated as "beautiful land," depicts this park’s 27 acres accurately. Winding trails and beautifully-maintained open space are some of this park's numerous features. Lighted softball fields, a children’s playground and play area, a splash pad, and numerous picnic areas add to the park's beauty. With its tree-lined walkway, Tierra Bonita makes an excellent outdoor wedding location. This tranquil park is adjacent to Tierra Bonita Elementary School.

Located at the corner of H-8 and Sierra Highway, the park features 27 acres of trails, playgrounds, and other park amenities. This will enhance resident life in surrounding neighborhoods and the community overall.
